After unofficial communications, funny developments of events and mysterious coincidences, we are finally ready to show you our personal idea of Blues dance:
a 3 dates combo, with workshops and social dance evenings!
…And we will include some good live music as well!

WHO
Teachers will be the marvellous Kristina Berčič and Miha Žabkar, all the way from Ljubljana.
In addition, on Dec 2nd evening, our dances will be emotionally conducted by the great Samuel Blues and his well-known guitar!

CLASSES
Basic level
The Basic classes will be aimed at those who have no experience of blues dances or just the very basic knowledge of it. We will be focusing on the fundamentals of posture, pulse, rhythm and connection. Our goal is to give you the skill to be able to dance to a variety of blues tempos with confidence, to react to the music and to create a relaxed, intimate and pleasant dance with you and your dance partner. We recommend this level also for those who would like to visit the intermediate class and already know a bit about blues dancing. 

Intermediate level
Intermediate classes will focus on the more advanced and difficult part of connection, rhythm manipulation and musicality. We will focus on the frame, fluidity, action and reaction in connection and variety. By the end of the class you will have new techniques, skills, moves and general knowledge that will take your dance to a new level. The intermediate class is intended for those that have a general grasp of blues fundamentals and have no problem with dancing to a blues song already and those who finished the basic course of the day.

COSTS
The three days package (3 x 1,5h) costs 50€
Single class cost is 20€

In order to access to classes and dance evenings at Cave Freaks, you need to have AICS + Swing Freaks cards.
If you do not have them, just write us in advance so we will send you instructions.

Here we are back busier than ever for the new season that is about to begin!
This year we have come up with a calendar with more disciplines: in fact, we will have Lindy Hop, Balboa and Solo Jazz classes. Also, as the Lindy community is growing more and more, we have put more levels of Lindy Hop on the calendar.

The schedule is as follows:

10 p.m.-11 p.m. Balboa
THURSDAY
7-8 p.m. Lindy Hop Beginners
20.00-21.00 Lindy Hop Improvers
21.00-21.50 Jazz Solo
21.50-22.50 Lindy Hop Intermediate

Classes will be held in Ginnastica Triestina, Via della Ginnastica 47 Trieste, starting September 26, 2022.

Below you will find our plans for the beginning of this year that we hope will be full of chances to dance!

First of all we confirm that next Thursday,13th of January, the two Lindy Hop Course from 8pm to 10pm will continue!

FREAKS CHOREO
Solo Jazz course will start again on 20th of January. Špela Premelč e Nejc Zupan will teach us a new Freaks Choreo!
The lessons will take place from 7pm to 8pm, every Thursday until the 10th of February. It is an open level class, so please feel free to join even if you have never danced Solo Jazz

LINDY HOP FOR NEW BEGINNERS
On 17th of February a new Lindy Hop Class for beginners will start, so it’s time to inform your friends and relative!! You will receive more updates in the next weeks.

WORKSHOP
In the weekends of next months we would like to organize some workshop but we kindly ask you to leave a feedback about what you would like to do!

PRACTICE AT TOTI
On 13th of February and 27th of February we will have free practice at Toti (Via del Castello, n° 1, Trieste) from 5.30pm to 10pm. Forms for registration will follow.

Last but not least, we inform all that in order to attend the classes it is necessary to have super green pass and to wear FFP2 mask.

Dear dancers, we would like to start again after this long break and for this reason, we have organized a workshop of Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz with our two teachers Spela and Nejc.

Tuesdays (30/03, 06/04, 13/04, 20/04):

• Balboa classes: We will continue with learning new moves and work on good body movement, creativity within known steps, working on basic technique and add some stylish spices.

• Lindy Hop: In this round we will focus more on a social aspect of the dance. What makes a good and pleasant follower or leader? How to connect with music a bit more? How to find space for both dancers to express themselves and still respect each other?

• Solo Jazz: Within these 4 classes our body will become a musical instrument. We will play with basic solo jazz steps and add different sounds by clapping, snapping and slapping. We will spice up things by adding some tap steps and sounds with our feet.
